The Rural South Hilo Community Association will have elections at 6:30 p.m. June 11 at the Kalanianaole School Cafeteria.

RSHCA represents the voice of the residents of 14 communities from Aamaulu to Ninole. The association provides a forum for meaningful dialogue on such issues as public access, emergency training, Neighborhood Watch and potential economic development ventures.

RSHCA currently is involved in the Hamakua Community Development Plan process.

Residents interested in filling a vacancy can contact president Donna Johnson at 895-1907 or email ruralsouthhilo@gmail.com to be added to the roster. A planning session of future activities, especially community gardens, also is on the agenda.

Hele mai!
